So, what is CEED Exam?
Acronym for Common Entrance Exam for Design, CEED is a design entrance exam is conducted by IIT Mumbai. Held at national level, it offers admissions to Master of Design (M. Des) and Ph.D. programs.
IITs, IISc Bangalore and other top-notch institutes are some across the country where CEED scores are accepted. On the basis of the score of an applicant in CEED exam, he or she can seek admission in M.Des course on offer not only at IIT Mumbai and IIT Delhi but others prestigious institutes as well. These include IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Guwahati, IISc Bangalore and IITDM Jabalpur.
What is New in CEED ?
Applicants can now secure their admission in a number of design courses which are offered at World University of Design (WUD). However, this depends on the basis of the result they get in CEED .
Candidates would be informed that WUD would offer admission to them in Master of Design programmes for the UPCOMING academic session on the basis of their performance/score in the CEED exam. It is very important for every candidate to have completed the degree or diploma of minimum 3 years after 10+2. Only then they are eligible to apply for M.Des courses.
CEED Exam Admission Form
- It is very crucial for every candidate, for application to the CEED exam, to get registered online through their e-mail ID and mobile number. Once the registration has been done successfully, all the applicants would receive a link in their registered e-mail ID. They will also receive login and password which will be sent on their registered mobile number by the authority.
- Now, in order to obtain the application form, one has to login to their account using the credentials. All the required details should be filled accordingly in the application form. You can then upload the necessary documents.
- Applicants must pay the application fees of INR 2200 (INR 1100 for reserved category) post the successful registration for the CEED exam .
- Only those forms that are complete in every sense and for which the application fees have been paid will be taken into consideration.
Note - A window of 10 days will be given to students who are still willing to apply for the CEED exam after the last registration date. These students need to bear the late fees of 500 INR.

CEED Admit Card
The admit card for UPCOMING CEED is likely to be issued on the official website to every applicant who will submit his/her registration form within a stipulated time frame. However, there should be no errors in the application form.
The cards to be submitted by the candidates will carry respective as well as signature. The candidates are further instructed to download CEED admit card. Moreover, it is important for them to bring a copy of the admit card (a coloured one) on the examination day.
