NATA 2019 Examination Updates:

NATA stands for National Aptitude Test in Architecture. It is an entrance level exam for those who want to get admission into undergraduate courses for architecture in best institutions in India. The NATA 2019 exam will also be conducted at national level just like the previous ones and it will be organized by the Council of Architecture i.e. COA and they do it every year. This examination provides a platform for getting admission into the 5-year course of Bachelor of Architecture program. The examination includes evaluation of your drawing and observation aptitudes, along with the ability of the candidate associated with the arena of architecture. Your scorecard for NATA 2019 Examination will be valid for 1 year and you can use it to get admission into colleges, all over the country.

Eligibility

• If you want to sit in NATA 2019 examination, you need to fulfil the following criteria:
• Candidates appearing in NATA 2019 Examination must complete 10+2 with Mathematics as the main subject.
• Candidates appearing in 10+3 in any subject from a authorized entity with Mathematics as a main subject.
• Candidates who have passed 10^th class exam, and have completed IB diploma with Mathematics as the main subject.
• No age norm for sitting in NATA 2019 examination.

Registration

You can fill registration form for NATA 2019 through official website of NATA. Registration may start in January 2019.

Fee Structure

You would have to pay Rs 1250 for all candidates. In addition, if you want exam center in Dubai, charges would be Rs 7000.

NATA 2019 Examination Syllabus

The syllabus for NATA 2019 is divided in three different parts including General Aptitude, Drawing Skills, Mathematics.

• General Aptitude – it includes envisaging 3D structures by seeing 2D structure drawings, objects, analysis of pictographic arrangements, architectural textures, assessment of mental aptitude including, oral, pictorial, and numerical, Analytical reasoning, general awareness of national/international architects and famous architectural creations. mathematical  reasoning, and so on.
• Drawing Skill – It includes geometric configuration, shapes, to understand measure and proportion of entities, constructing forms and, texture of the colors, aesthetics, contrast, imagining forming objects in memory, sketching patterns, etc. 
• Mathematics – It includes permutation and combination, logarithm, matrics, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, probability, algebra, statistics, and so on. 

Pattern of the Examination Paper:

NATA 2019 will have two papers on the same day and candidates would have to attend both of them.  First paper will be about evaluating candidates’ General Aptitude and understanding of Mathematics. Second paper will be about measuring candidates’ Drawing Skills. For both the papers candidates will be given 90 minutes each.

Exam date and results:

NATA examination is expected to take place in last week of April 2019. NATA authorities might announce the result in June 2019. You will be able to see the results on official website of NATA.

Counselling before final admission:

The candidates who will manage to pass the NATA examination will be able to get admission into 5 years for B. Arch course in different institutions in India. But before that they would have to sit through a counselling session before taking the admission. round for final admission. Following that, candidates’ documents containing 10^th and 12^th mark sheet, NATA score, birth certificate, and others will be verified.
